ACCESS STATEMENT – HEN GAPEL

Our Policy on Access and Inclusion of Disabled and Older People.

Our intention is to ensure that all our guests, including those with disabilities and older people, have an enjoyable experience throughout their stay. We will work hard to make the property accessible to everyone, within the limitations of a traditional building. We welcome all guests and will do all we can to make your stay a happy one. Please contact us to discuss your accessibility needs.

Approach and outside property

Hen Gapel is approached via a well-surfaced road with parking right outside the house. There is a step up to the short path to the front door and a step up at the front door.

Access implications for various groups of people

Guests with mobility limitations

Hen Gapel has a step to the front path, a threshold step into the house and step up from the living room to the kitchen and a step up from the kitchen to the back door. All bedrooms and bathrooms are on the upper two floors. There is one bannister rail up both flights of stairs. There is a bath in the first floor bathroom and a walk-in shower in the attic bathroom. There is a step into the attic bathroom.

Guests who are blind or partly-sighted

Visitor information is available in large print/CD/email text on request. Hen Gapel is well-lit throughout. Guide dogs and all other assistance dogs are welcome.

Guests with allergies

We allow no smoking on the premises
